Modangul Tagbergenova, President of the Tagbergenova & Partners Intellectual Property Agency, participated in the “Intellectual Property in the Creative Industries and Fundamentals of Teaching” Training of Trainers Programme, implemented with the support of the World Intellectual Property Organization (WIPO) Academy.
The first module of the Training of Trainers Programme, entitled “Intellectual Property in the Creative Industries and Fundamentals of Teaching,” was held from October 5 to 9, 2026, at the Training Center of the KAZPATENT branch in Almaty. The programme is implemented with the support of the WIPO Academy.
A total of 24 specialists took part in the training, including practicing lawyers, patent attorneys, and intellectual property experts.
As part of the programme, participants explored issues related to the protection and use of intellectual property in the creative industries. They also learned fundamental teaching methods and approaches to organizing the educational process. On the final day, teams presented their assignments to the facilitators, demonstrating the knowledge and skills they had acquired.
The training of trainers is an important stage in the project to establish a Training Center in Astana and its branch in Almaty, based at the KAZPATENT Training Center. The project aims to develop the intellectual property education system, enhance the professional competencies of specialists, and expand access to specialized educational programmes.
The completion of the first module marked another step towards building a professional community of trainers capable of sharing knowledge and practical expertise in intellectual property. The training provides a foundation for further educational initiatives and strengthens Kazakhstan’s expert capacity in this field.
