Annual Meeting INTA (International trademark association) took place in San Diego (USA) from 17 to 21 May 2025. Alma Tagbergenova, who has been a member of INTA for more than 20 years, took part in the conference.

INTA is a not-for-profit association, whose role is to serve their members, the profession, and society as a trusted and influential advocate for the economic and social value of brands. INTA was founded in 1878 by 17 merchants and manufacturers who saw a need for an organization “to protect and promote the rights of trademark owners, to secure useful legislation, and to give aid and encouragement to all efforts for the advancement and observance of trademark rights.” Since then, INTA has grown into a global community, with members around the world and offices in multiple regions. Their membership comprises more than 6,700 organizations from 185 jurisdictions. The organizations represent nearly 37,000 professionals, including brand owners from major corporations, small- and medium-sized enterprises, law firms, and nonprofits. This year meeting joined more than 10,000 top intellectual property (IP) professionals, business leaders, government officials, judges, NGOs, and solutions providers at the largest IP.

The theme of this year’s Annual Meeting was “The Business of IP,” which highlights the pivotal role that intellectual property plays in driving innovation and business success.
