Utility models

A utility model relates to constructive implementation of capital goods and consumer goods as well as their components.

A utility model is granted legal protection if it is new and industrially applicable.

An application for a patent for utility model shall contain:

1. A statement about granting a patent

2. Description of a utility model, unraveling it fully enough for implementation;

3. A utility model claim expressing its essence;

4. Drawings;

5. Abstract.

The registration of utility models in the State Register is based on the decision to grant a patent and providing the payment of the official issuance fee.

Based on the information entered in the State Register an authorized body shall issue a patent. A utility model patent is valid for five years (5) from the application filing date with possible renewal of its validity at the request of patent holder but not longer than for 3 years.
